My brother's "Canadian" friend, Napoleon, who stayed with us during his army days
have came to Singapore and KL for a couple of months for visitation. In January last month,
some of us went over to KL from Singapore with him and spend some time there.
This time my brother went over to KL to find him so we tagged along!
Sri Maju Express Bus
Board from Beach road on Friday night,
Clean and comfortable with big spaced seats.
* Cheney doesn't mind a 9hrs ride up to Thailand!
Reached KL at 3am.
Stayed at Sky Hotel but would recommend Ancasa Hotel where we stayed previously
due to its convenience to the train station and Chinatown (food paradise),
Plus point, the Bus drops right infront of Ancasa Hotel too.
Day 1, Saturday
First stop for breakfast around our hotel, not that fantastic though.
Next Stop: KFC!
Kampong chicken cannot be missed just so different from our Sg's frozen chicken.
At their "Orchard Road", nice concept hotel, WOLO.
I would like to stay the next time!
Lot 10 shopping mall, Basement 1, Foodcourt.
Shanghai-Themed food area that gathers only the famous food stalls in Malaysia.
no flowing liquid though |
In between, we went for massage along the alley. 90mins for RM100.
Then we walked over to Pavilion Shopping Mall,
where branded goods are sold.
similar to our "Paragon mall" but of course larger in size.
Dinner at Ding Tai Fung on the last level,.
All prices on the menu is the same as Singapore, BUT IN RM!!
Eg. SGD$10 for 4 Dumplings,
In Msia, its RM$10 for 4 dumplings!!
"Crab"meat xiao long baos.
Salted egg prawns *not in Sg
After dinner, we walked to the other end of the top level.
Tokyo Street
At the back of Pavilion Mall, for the drinkers.
On the way to KLCC mall, photo with the Twin Towers.
While waiting for the boys to shop in KLCC Mall,
the rest snacked at Madam Kwan's.
Very nice food.
Day 2, Sunday
Went Chinatown/Jalan Petaling Street (food paradise) for breakfast.
Shin Kee Beef Noodles
Famous and yummy!
Another recommended stall. Hon Kee Porridge,
After breakfast + lunch, only Cheney and I headed to the bus terminal to catch our 3pm bus cus he had to work the next day and I had exam 1 day after.
We were late and missed our bus. Refund wasn't allowed and no other slot. So we had to buy new bus tickets at 3.30pm from another bus which gave us itchy red dots from the dirty seats :( #lessonlearnt
Moreover the bus ended at woodlands checkpoint so Cheney and I sneakily hop onto another bus that brought us to Beach road heh..
Nonetheless, Sweet sister bought sumptuous dinner to welcome us back!
