How we ended up here:
This trip was very impromptu, including the extension of it.
7 Mar, Friday, is my 4th Anniversary with Cheney. I've actually thought of gg to Legoland , Malaysia with him on Sat. Since it was our yearly tradition to do an activity tgt. Last 2 yrs, we went Universal Studios and Adventure Cove. However, alot of people discourage our idea saying the attraction is mainly for kids. So instead, Cheney booked a place and wanted to surprise me on Sat for lunch in celebration for our Anniversary.
Aside, my mum was thinking of gg Aust with Ezekell(my niece) to visit my sis during the weekend since Mon is her "official" off day since her company had a day off but my sis said Perth's weather is 40 degrees at the moment which meant that it isnt recommended to go but mum was eager for a getaway.
My older brother was actually planning to drive in with his family to Malacca for the weekend since his maid's visa has just been approved on friday.
So on Friday night when my older bro came over to my house to fetch mum for late dinner/supper. I brought up about going Bukit Tinggi which I came across in a blog long time awhile have always wanted to go!
Everyone agreed to the 5.5hrs drive to Bukit Tinggi for a 2 day 1 night weekend getaway, Da sao instantly booked the hotel rooms and we set off the next morning.
On Sat night, when we were supposed to head back to Singapore the next day, my older bro felt it was just a waste not to stay longer since we came so far.. so he suggested we all head to another place along the way back to Singapore for another night.
We wanted to go to the beach area. Again everyone agreed, Dasao immediately book 2 rooms at Swiss Garden Resort at Kuantan for Sunday night and we head there the next day before finally dropping by at Sutera mall on Mon then back to Singapore.
P.s: Roadtrips in Malaysia are not for the unconfident drivers. We witnessed car spinning and other cars sudden appearance.
Since there were quite a number of photos. Part 1 post: Bukit Tinggi, Part 2 post: Kuantan.
Part 1: Bukit Tinggi
Day 1, Saturday
We stayed at Colmar Tropicale which is a beautiful French-theme village
by Berjaya Hills Resort in Bukit Tinggi, Malaysia near Genting.
5 and a half hours drive from Singapore to Bukit Tinggi.
Cars that can go far and fast with stability is highly recommended.
We didnt stop anywhere except for the petrol station due to safety.
Our hotel block.
Family suite.
Colmar Tropicale
French-Themed village, such a beautiful place!
My nieces, Ezekell and Lovell cooperatively "shoot" bubbles
while Glenn(my younger bro) took the photo.
....Till it was too close and too much, haha
Hotel Lobby
It is a small town with lots of entertainment.
We reached at an odd timing, 7pm, and were starved after the roadtrip,
while buffet starts at 7.30pm.
The staffs were kind enough to let us in earlier :)
Had Teppanyaki Buffet at Lse Blason
Mid Day View.
Stage Performance
Cheney and I were called out. We watched the later on performance,
Cheney and I were called out again, this time with my older bro.
Mini Carnival
Night view from the top.
Upclose with the black swans.
Glenn managed to take a pic of 2 swans mimicking the shape of a heart.
At night, the band will be out on the street to play till 12.30am
Night view of the entrance. Just like a castle!
Happy Hour
The band decided to extend their shift to play for us,
since we were the only people left outdoor.
All of us enjoyed the romantic atmosphere!
Day 2, Sunday
Morning view!
Head to Japanese Village which was one of the main attraction.
It was a 3 min drive and a walk up the hill.
Then Animal Farm, another min drive away,
which was the second main attraction.
Up close encounter with the horses, deer/bambi and rabbits!
It was amazing!
After we saw the guinea pig trying to escape, we made the hole bigger. But it had second thoughts.
My older brother tried to chase the bambi, it was really epic!
Took a video of it.
My older brother trying to ride on it, haha..
Then we set off for our 2.5 hours to Kuantan
To be continued on the next post part 2...
